Three storage moves we make all the time

A full household into storageDecide what you will need before the rest comes back out of the unit. Mark those boxes “open first” and keep them near the front — tell us the load order when we plan the move.
Emptying a unit for deliveryKnow where everything is going and what comes off the truck first. We unload in that order, so the destination side of the day runs just as smoothly as the pickup.
Storing part of the householdRenovations, downsizing, and in-between homes all send part of a household into storage. Label those boxes by room or phase and tell us exactly which items are included.
What to discuss

What goes into a storage unit move

The unit, the items, and the path between the truck and the door decide the work. Check the facility’s rules before you book the date.

Moving into a unit

Ask the facility about gate hours, truck access, and cart or elevator rules. Tell us the path to the unit and which boxes should stay near the front — we load the truck so the right items come off first.

Moving out of a unit

Tell us where everything is going and what must come off the truck first. If anything stays behind, say so plainly — the route from the unit to the truck, including stairs or an elevator, shapes the plan.

Heavy and awkward pieces

Measure large furniture against the unit door, the hallways, and the corners — then share those numbers during the estimate call so we know the piece fits before we promise to move it.

Facility access rules

The storage provider controls gate hours, elevator use, cart policies, and truck parking. Confirm those rules in advance and pass them along — we plan the move around the access the facility allows.

Prepare the unit before the truck arrives

Call the facility first: gate hours, elevator access, cart rules, truck parking, and loading time limits. A ground-floor unit with a roll-up door is a different job than an upper floor that shares one elevator — know which one you have. Measure the widest doorways and the unit entrance and keep those numbers handy.

Plan the load around what you will need first. Mark one box “open first” so it ends up at the front, and leave a walkway to the back. When moving out, decide what comes off first and share that order when we call.

Storage Moving FAQ

Storage move questions, answered

Do you rent storage units?

No. We provide the moving help into and out of storage units, but the unit itself is rented from a separate facility. Arrange the unit with the storage company and let us know its access rules when we discuss the estimate.

What should I have ready before requesting an estimate?

The facility’s gate hours, elevator rules, cart policy, and truck parking, plus the path to the unit — stairs, hallways, distance. And a rough list of the largest items. We will go over the rest on the phone.

How do I choose the right unit size?

Make a list of your furniture and boxes first, then ask the storage facility what sizes fit it. Think about whether you need a path to reach items mid-storage and whether the biggest pieces fit through the entrance.

What goes into the unit first?

Whatever you will need soonest goes nearest the front. Mark those boxes “open first,” keep a walkway through the unit, and push the long-stay items toward the back.

What if the unit has limited access?

Tell us the walking distance, stairs, hallway width, and where the truck can stop — plus any gate hours or elevator restrictions. With the real constraints in hand, we can tell you exactly what is possible.

Can some items go home and others into storage?

Yes — separate and label the two groups before moving day. Discuss both destinations when you request the estimate so the extra stop and the load order are planned, not improvised.

Moving experiences with Anywhere Anytime Moving

This crew moved an 800 pound hot tub with ease. The crew did amazing work. Very professional and thorough.

I was present while Anywhere Anytime Moving moved my Aunt's Grand Piano. The crew was friendly and took excellent care as they disassembled, padded, moved and loaded the piano. We visited the piano after it was reassembled in its new home at a local venue in Sebring. Excellent Service and reasonable price for a crew of three and full morning. Thank you.

The two-person crew were absolutely amazing! Couldn’t ask for a better pair of men to get the job done. Very impressive, professional and personable. Took time to ensure they were careful with the furniture they delivered. I highly recommend their service.

The movers were great! They were very efficient & professional! However, at the end of the move when I was preparing to pay, I was advised that I would be charged an additional fee to process my payment because I used a card. I was unaware of this as there had been no additional communication outside of an email reminder the day before about my scheduled move. I used a card to pay my deposit and was not charged a processing fee. Had I known about a processing fee I would have prepared another form of payment. Other than that unexpected fee, the movers were amazing! A great group of hardworking guys who made the move less stressful.

Solid job overall. Two complaints prevent a much better rating. First, they took lunch without telling me. I don't mind at all that they took lunch, but not letting me know meant I was waiting for them in an empty house for 45 minutes. If they had just told me, I could have gotten some things done. Second, they tried to take my headboard down the steps without fully disassembling it first which led to a) 40 minutes of time wasted (a little irritating when they charge by the hour) and b) they broke my hand railing and didn't repair it. I don't think I would use them again
