What a house move involves

Every room, every closet, every box

A whole-house move is the sum of its storage spaces. These are the areas that decide how the day goes.

Rooms people forget

Living rooms and bedrooms are the easy part. Closets, garages, sheds, patios, and attics hold just as much and get missed on moving day. Walk the whole property before you build the list.

Furniture and fragile pieces

Sofas, bed frames, dressers, mirrors, and glass top the list of pieces that need a plan. Name the heaviest and most delicate items when we discuss the estimate so they get the right handling.

Furniture that comes apart

Bed frames, table leaves, and modular shelving often have to split to survive a doorway or a staircase. Note which pieces can come apart and which must stay whole.

Access at both homes

Driveway length, stairs, elevators, and long walks from the truck to the door decide the crew’s pace. Check both routes and flag anything tight before the date is set.

Planning your move

The residential moving checklist that saves the day

Go through the home room by room, including the garage, shed, attic, and porch. You do not need a perfect inventory to request an estimate — a rough list of large furniture and fragile pieces is enough to price the job honestly.

Keep medications, identification, keys, chargers, and first-night essentials in a separate bag that never leaves your sight. Label boxes by destination room and sketch where the big pieces will land in the new home. Ten minutes of planning buys hours of calm on moving day.

Situations we plan around

Leaving a longtime homeHouses that hold decades collect belongings in attics, garages, and sheds. Sorting before the move tells you what comes with you, what gets donated, and what stays — and it is easier to decide with the truck date on the calendar.
Moving into a different layoutNew doorways, new stairways, new room sizes. Measure your largest pieces against the new space so you know what fits, what comes apart, and what needs a second opinion before the day.

Residential Moving FAQ

House move questions, answered plainly

What does residential moving cover?

Everything in the household: furniture, boxes, and belongings from every room and storage space. Build the list with closets, the garage, and outdoor items included — that is how the estimate matches reality.

How is this different from local moving?

Local moving describes the route; residential moving describes the load. A whole-home move across town is both. When you request an estimate, describe the route and the scope — one conversation covers both.

Do you offer packing services?

Packing help, packing materials, disassembly, and specialty handling depend on the specific move. Ask during the estimate call and we will confirm what is available and put the agreed work in writing.

What details do you need for the estimate?

Start with your contact details in the form. From there we go over the moving date, both addresses, access at each home, and the household items you are taking — including anything headed to a storage unit.

How far in advance should I book?

Reach out as soon as your date is in view. Routes and dates are subject to availability, and the good windows go first — especially between October and April, when snowbird season keeps the calendar full.

Do I need to be home on moving day?

Someone should be available at both locations to walk the crew through and answer questions. Going over stairs, elevators, and parking ahead of time keeps the day on script.

Moving experiences with Anywhere Anytime Moving

This crew moved an 800 pound hot tub with ease. The crew did amazing work. Very professional and thorough.

I was present while Anywhere Anytime Moving moved my Aunt's Grand Piano. The crew was friendly and took excellent care as they disassembled, padded, moved and loaded the piano. We visited the piano after it was reassembled in its new home at a local venue in Sebring. Excellent Service and reasonable price for a crew of three and full morning. Thank you.

The two-person crew were absolutely amazing! Couldn’t ask for a better pair of men to get the job done. Very impressive, professional and personable. Took time to ensure they were careful with the furniture they delivered. I highly recommend their service.

The movers were great! They were very efficient & professional! However, at the end of the move when I was preparing to pay, I was advised that I would be charged an additional fee to process my payment because I used a card. I was unaware of this as there had been no additional communication outside of an email reminder the day before about my scheduled move. I used a card to pay my deposit and was not charged a processing fee. Had I known about a processing fee I would have prepared another form of payment. Other than that unexpected fee, the movers were amazing! A great group of hardworking guys who made the move less stressful.

Solid job overall. Two complaints prevent a much better rating. First, they took lunch without telling me. I don't mind at all that they took lunch, but not letting me know meant I was waiting for them in an empty house for 45 minutes. If they had just told me, I could have gotten some things done. Second, they tried to take my headboard down the steps without fully disassembling it first which led to a) 40 minutes of time wasted (a little irritating when they charge by the hour) and b) they broke my hand railing and didn't repair it. I don't think I would use them again
