Frequently Asked Questions About Moving

Estimates, services, access, and moving-day prep — answered the way we would answer them on the phone. If your question is not here, call us or request an estimate.

Estimate questions

Getting an estimate

Every move starts with a quote. Here is how the request works and what you get out of it.

How do I get a moving estimate?

Use the estimate form on this site or call us. We will talk through your moving date, both addresses, what is being moved, and access details like stairs, an elevator, or a long driveway — then we prepare an estimate based on your actual move, not a guess.

What happens after I request an estimate?

A moving coordinator follows up to go over the details and answer your questions. That call is the time to confirm dates, addresses, the size of the move, and any special items. You get a written estimate that lists the services and charges before you book.

What details should I have ready?

Your moving date or timeframe, both addresses, the type of home, and a rough count of the furniture and boxes. It also helps to flag access issues up front — stairs, an elevator, a narrow driveway, or a gate code situation.

Is the estimate the final price?

The estimate covers the scope we agree on, and that number is what you pay for the work in it. Ask what type of estimate you are receiving, what it includes, and which changes could affect it — we would rather answer that before moving day than after.

Service questions

Choosing a service

Local, residential, senior, storage, last-minute — here is how they fit together.

Which moving service do I need?

Choose local moving for a nearby move, residential moving for a whole household, or senior moving when the move involves downsizing or a senior living community. Storage moves cover loading and unloading at a unit you rent separately. If your date is days away, start with last-minute movers.

Can a residential move also be a local move?

Yes. Residential describes what is being moved — furniture, boxes, and household belongings. Local describes the distance. A whole-home move between nearby addresses is both, and one estimate covers it.

Can I combine more than one service?

Yes. A move plus a storage stop, a downsizing move with packing help, a last-minute local job — mention everything when the coordinator calls. We estimate the full job so the plan works as one day.

Do you handle packing and specialty items?

Packing help, packing materials, disassembly, and specialty handling depend on the move — ask when you get your estimate and we will confirm what is available for your dates. Whatever we agree on goes into the written estimate.

Access questions

Access and parking

The route from the truck to the door shapes the whole day. These answers cover what to check.

What access details should I mention?

Everything that affects getting into each property: stairs, elevators, narrow hallways, steep or long driveways, gated entries, and the walk from where the truck parks to your door. Access details change timing, so bring them up during the estimate call.

What if my building has restrictions?

Check moving hours, elevator reservations, loading access, and any paperwork your building requires, and share them with us when we plan. For street parking rules and permits, the city office has the current requirements — tell us what applies and we will build the day around it.

What about large or fragile furniture?

Mention anything heavy, fragile, or awkward when we discuss the estimate. Ask whether disassembly, special handling, or extra time is needed, and confirm it in writing. Asking before booking beats discovering it on the staircase.

What should I ask before booking?

Cover the essentials: cancellation and change policies, payment terms, what the estimate includes, and the confirmed date and access details. Get the answers in writing and moving day runs itself.

Move-day questions

Preparing for moving day

A little preparation the night before saves hours on the day itself.

How should I label my moving boxes?

Label each box with the room it lands in at the new home, plus a short note on contents. Mark fragile boxes clearly and keep the label visible on the side so it can be read when boxes are stacked.

What should I keep with me during the move?

Keys, medications, documents, chargers, and everything you will want on the first night — plus valuables you would rather not see loaded. Those stay with you, not on the truck.

How do I prepare my home for the crew?

Clear hallways and doorways, separate anything that is staying, and make sure the agreed parking or loading space will actually be available. Keep pets and kids away from the carry path — the crew works faster when the route is clear.

What should I check before leaving my old home?

Walk every room, closet, cabinet, and storage space — the garage and outdoor areas too. Collect keys, confirm nothing packed by mistake, and do one last look at the spaces everyone forgets: the attic, the shed, the back of the pantry.

Moving experiences with Anywhere Anytime Moving

This crew moved an 800 pound hot tub with ease. The crew did amazing work. Very professional and thorough.

I was present while Anywhere Anytime Moving moved my Aunt's Grand Piano. The crew was friendly and took excellent care as they disassembled, padded, moved and loaded the piano. We visited the piano after it was reassembled in its new home at a local venue in Sebring. Excellent Service and reasonable price for a crew of three and full morning. Thank you.

The two-person crew were absolutely amazing! Couldn’t ask for a better pair of men to get the job done. Very impressive, professional and personable. Took time to ensure they were careful with the furniture they delivered. I highly recommend their service.

The movers were great! They were very efficient & professional! However, at the end of the move when I was preparing to pay, I was advised that I would be charged an additional fee to process my payment because I used a card. I was unaware of this as there had been no additional communication outside of an email reminder the day before about my scheduled move. I used a card to pay my deposit and was not charged a processing fee. Had I known about a processing fee I would have prepared another form of payment. Other than that unexpected fee, the movers were amazing! A great group of hardworking guys who made the move less stressful.

Solid job overall. Two complaints prevent a much better rating. First, they took lunch without telling me. I don't mind at all that they took lunch, but not letting me know meant I was waiting for them in an empty house for 45 minutes. If they had just told me, I could have gotten some things done. Second, they tried to take my headboard down the steps without fully disassembling it first which led to a) 40 minutes of time wasted (a little irritating when they charge by the hour) and b) they broke my hand railing and didn't repair it. I don't think I would use them again
